When war broke out in September 1939, the life of Régine and her family was turned upside down. As Jews, they were subjected to many prohibitions. Their father Maurice, a volunteer, was a prisoner of war. Thanks to the courage and determination of Marie, their mother, Régine and her sister Marcelle escaped from the roundups where they were certain to die. They found refuge and safety among welcoming farmers. They shared their daily life and work on the farm. Régine tells us her story...
